I met this charming West Side couple at the Civic Center in Scottsdale for pre-wedding portraits.

They were getting married at the courthouse but still wanted fabulous engagement-style  portraits to remember the day. They’re super sweet, so very much in love, and they made my job so easy.

They celebrated the big event at a small Brazilian restaurant with family and close friends and I can’t wait to show them the rest of their images !

That’s me. MIA. Missing in action. Gone. Absent from the blog. I’m so sorry!! It’s just that life and work got hectic and something had to give. Couldn’t be family. Couldn’t be friends. Couldn’t be clients. Couldn’t be the holidays themselves. That left the poor blog.

My New Year’s Resolution?  You’ll be seeing a lot more of me in 2010! (now, is that twenty-ten or two thousand ten…. the things we have to ponder!)

Ah… I love my job!  I recently had the pleasure of shooting these two adorable siblings.  They were SO cute – little Sienna was the most well behaved girl I think I’ve ever met.  (Including my own four mini-me’s…).  She followed directions wonderfully and did whatever we asked her to do!  And her 6 month old smushable little baby brother…… six months of total preciousness!  Smiles, smiles, and more smiles!  (Oh yeah, mom and dad were pretty cool, too!)  Enjoy these few previews while I’m working on putting up more recent sessions…

You guys have been so patient and I **so** appreciate it!  I’m working feverishly (still!) to get all the sessions from Cincinnati previewed and proofed !  There were SO many gorgeous kids, families, babies, seniors, etc…. here’s a small sampling of what I’ve got previewed so far… more to come, I promise, I promise!  :-)

Previewing another session from my marathon-shoot in Cincinnati a few weeks ago… these girls were beautiful, and ready to pose for the camera!  A photographer’s dream come true – they were fun, sassy, and adorable!  Just one preview for now as I work up a few more to share…..

Last week we talked about fun & funky kids’ wear and the week before we showcased a divalicious urban chic family wardrobe. This week’s Fashionista Friday is all about cool, casual comfort by Gap and Gap Kids in shades of brown and blue. Perfect for park and urban or even your home and garden, you’ll look coordinated but not like you tried too hard. Add some favorite chunky jewelry [wood beads anyone?] or dainty sterling silver for her and if he has a favorite hat, all the better.

Because I never have enough to do [ha!] we’re starting a new weekly feature here on the blog: Fashionista Friday. The most common question I get after someone books a session is “but what do we wear?” and, being the helpful little photographer that I am, I figured this would be a great way to give you a place to look for some great ideas for session wardrobe ideas. We’ll be featuring coordinated family looks, fun kids outfits, maternity session wear, and maybe even some boudoir tips – ooo la la! Casual, fancy, coordinated vs. matchy matchy, hip & trendy, etc… it will all be here.

Kicking off Fashionista Friday is a set of ultra urban chic looks that will look fabulous in my secret “urban street look” location.
